Myth Monday [2]:

“Fives don’t have emotions”

Myth:
“Type 5s are cold and unemotional.”

Truth:
Many Fives are extremely sensitive to the emotional “noise” around them, so they create distance to cope with it. Detachment is not the absence of feeling; it is a buffer between their intense inner world and the emotional messiness of life.

Fives often pull back to observe, think, and make sense of what they’re feeling before they share it, which can look like they don’t feel at all. Inside, there can be a lot going on: worry, curiosity, tenderness, even hurt, but they protect that by stepping back rather than jumping in.
